Aunque representa un porcentaje menor de los c\u00e1nceres de piel, es el m\u00e1s peligroso debido a su alta capacidad de diseminaci\u00f3n a otros \u00f3rganos si no se detecta en etapas tempranas\u201d, comenta el Dr. Andr\u00e9s Figueroa, dermat\u00f3logo de Cl\u00ednica Universidad de los Andes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, Chile ha experimentado un aumento sostenido en los casos y muertes por c\u00e1ncer de piel. Seg\u00fan datos del Departamento de Estad\u00edsticas e Informaci\u00f3n de Salud (DEIS) del Ministerio de Salud, en 2024 se registraron m\u00e1s de 620 muertes por esta enfermedad, la cifra m\u00e1s alta en las \u00faltimas dos d\u00e9cadas. Se estima que anualmente se diagnostican m\u00e1s de 800 nuevos casos.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Adem\u00e1s del aumento de casos, existen diversos factores que pueden incidir significativamente en el riesgo de desarrollar esta patolog\u00eda. Entre ellas est\u00e1n:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>Sobreexposici\u00f3n a la radiaci\u00f3n ultravioleta<\/li>\n<li>Antecedentes familiares<\/li>\n<li>Historial de quemaduras por el sol<\/li>\n<li>Presencia de lunares at\u00edpicos o una gran cantidad de estos<\/li>\n<li>Piel clara, ojos claros y cabello rubio o pelirrojo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La detecci\u00f3n temprana es crucial para mejorar las tasas de sobrevida. Una t\u00e9cnica \u00fatil para identificar lunares sospechosos es la regla del ABCDE:<\/p>\n<ul style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong>A \u2013 Asimetr\u00eda<\/strong>: una mitad del lunar no es igual a la otra.<\/li>\n<li><strong>B \u2013 Bordes<\/strong>: irregulares, difusos o poco definidos.<\/li>\n<li><strong>C \u2013 Color<\/strong>: varios colores o tonalidades (marr\u00f3n, negro, rojo, azul).<\/li>\n<li><strong>D \u2013 Di\u00e1metro<\/strong>: mayor a 6 mm, aunque algunos melanomas pueden ser m\u00e1s peque\u00f1os.<\/li>\n<li><strong>E \u2013 Evoluci\u00f3n<\/strong>: cambios en tama\u00f1o, forma, color o s\u00edntomas como picaz\u00f3n o sangrado.<\/li>\n<li><strong>F \u2013 \u00abPatito Feo\u00bb<\/strong>: el lunar se ve diferente respecto a los dem\u00e1s.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">La prevenci\u00f3n de esta patolog\u00eda no solo reduce el riesgo de desarrollarla, sino que tambi\u00e9n permite una detecci\u00f3n m\u00e1s temprana, mejorando as\u00ed los posibles pron\u00f3sticos. Para esto, es crucial adoptar h\u00e1bitos como:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Usar protector solar de amplio espectro con un FPS de 30 o superior. Aplicar 30 minutos antes de salir y repetirlo cada dos horas.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Evitar la exposici\u00f3n al sol entre las 10:00 y las 16:00 horas.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Utilizar ropa y accesorios que protejan del sol, especialmente en actividades al aire libre.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Evitar el uso de sol\u00e1rium o uso de camas de bronceado, especialmente antes de los 30 a\u00f1os.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Realizar autoex\u00e1menes regulares de la piel y consultar al dermat\u00f3logo ante
